Campus and IFC involvement
IFC Involvement: The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the student-run governing body of 32 of the fraternities at the University of Washington. The past 3 years, Chi Psi has had 3 members on IFC's Executive Counsel and 2 members that served on IFC Standards Board. Our dedication to pursuing excellence in all aspects of life continually make Chi Psi one of the most competitive and well-rounded fraternities on our campus.
This year, we were awarded with: - Best Chapter In Risk Management - Outstanding Greek Senior Chi Psi Nationally: One thing we pride ourselves on here is being very involved with Chi Psi nationally. Every year we send several University of Washington brothers to our national convention where we get to meet a lot of incredible brothers from across the nation. The Thayer Trophy is awarded annually to the Alpha that has made the most outstanding showing in the previous school year in all areas.
This year we are the Thayer Trophy Recipients! |
Campus Involvement: During the 1998-1999 school year, Chi Psi became the first fraternity in the history of the University of Washington to petition for and earn its own seat on the ASUW Student Senate.
It is our belief that we can better represent ourselves in the ASUW by having a separate voice from the Interfraternity Council. Since then, the majority of the campus’ fraternities and sororities have followed suit and earned their own seat on the senate. It is through advancements like this that Chi Psi proves over and over that its members are truly community and campus leaders, and as such, we are always looking for ways to move forward.
