The Lodge
In 1846, Chi Psi built the very first fraternity house in the nation at the University of Michigan and called it, “The Lodge”, as it resembled a traditional hunting lodge. So as a tradition, all Alphas of Chi Psi call their fraternity a Lodge.
Our Lodge was built in 1924 just three years after our founding at the University of Washington in 1921. It has undergone recent renovations including a 1 million dollar overhaul of the majority of the building in 2010 and recent bathroom, stairwell, and kitchen re-modelings. Another incredible feature of the Chi Psi Lodge is the huge backyard. In the backyard, we have 2 basketball hoops and our senior annex. The senior annex features 15 single rooms and 4 bathrooms. This provides a unique opportunity for our seniors to have their own space while living on Lodge property which allows them to get to know our incoming freshman. |
