Philanthropy
Taking an active role in the community is something that the gentlemen of Chi Psi strive for every year. Whether it's participating in Philanthropy events around the UW Greek Community or performing our own, Chi Psi prides itself on its involvement in the community. Chi Psi was the Winner of the 2009 Excellence in Community Service Award as well as the Outstanding Philanthropy Award in 2012 and 2013 from the UW IFC and Panhellenic.
Sorority Philanthropies: One way Chi Psi Fraternity maintains its strong relationship with the sororities is through their philanthropic events. These range from soccer and flag football tournaments to pageant like competitions. At Chi Psi, we pride ourselves on our involvement and success in all of these events. Chi Psi has won Alpha Gamma Delta's "Mr. Greek" philanthropy for 4 out of the last 6 years. We have also won Delta Gamma's "Anchorsplash" philanthropy 2 of the past 4 years, coming in 2nd over the last year 2 years.

Stuff the Bus: Chi Psi recognizes our responsibility to the community and each spring runs a large-scale food drive benefiting local families through Food Lifeline. The event, called “Stuff the Bus,” welcomes the help of many other organizations, including The
Daily campus newspaper and UW Transit Services, to set a goal of literally stuffing multiple buses full of food at local grocery stores. With an event that teams with University groups and involvement from the community, Chi Psi has set the standards for Greek philanthropies – and received the 2008 IFC Award for Most Outstanding Philanthropy. In 2018, the brotherhood was able to raise 9,796 pounds of food and $1,942 in donations, and our numbers keep improving every year then. With our food and cash donations, we were able to provide 15,000 meals for people in need! The event is a great annual brotherhood event, with all proceeds going towards a great cause. |
